Allison Schneider, MD (pronouns: she/her) is an Ob/Gyn physician with The GW Medical Faculty Associates. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Public Policy and American Institutions from Brown University in 2010. She then worked for the Kaiser Family Foundation Commission on Medicaid and the Uninsured while attending the Post-Baccalaureate Premedical Program at American University. In 2016, she graduated with a Doctor of Medicine from the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) School of Medicine. She completed her residency training at Kaiser Permanente Medical Center in Oakland, California, in June 2020.
During her undergraduate medical and residency training, Dr. Schneider focused on teaching and mentoring, perinatal quality and safety through research and hospital committees, and policy advocacy through Junior Fellow leadership in the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
Dr. Schneider is committed to obstetric and surgical quality improvement, reducing health disparities - particularly in maternal morbidity and mortality - and reproductive justice. She practices evidence-based care with an emphasis on helping her patients make highly informed decisions that align with their values.
Dr. Schneider lives in Northwest DC, near where she grew up, with her husband and toddler and hopes to get a dog in the near future. Her hobbies include: playing with her daughter, dancing, singing, hiking, swimming, reading, and spending time with family and friends.
