Erin Jackson, MD is an Assistant Professor of Medicine with the Division of Geriatrics & Palliative Care.
Dr. Jackson received her Medical Degree from ETSU Quillen College of Medicine in 2009. She finished her Residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Virginia in 2012, where she also completed a Chief Residency in 2013. In 2017, she completed a Fellowship in Hospice and Palliative Medicine at Northwestern. Dr. Jackson is board certified in both Internal Medicine and Hospice and Palliative Medicine. She is licensed in the District of Columbia, Commonwealth of Virginia, and states of Tennessee and Illinois.
Dr. Jackson comes to us from Saint Thomas West in Nashville, Tennessee where she was a Palliative Medicine physician. While there, she provided consultations in the inpatient setting with a full interdisciplinary team and taught residents primary palliative skills. She also rounded frequently with the ICU and collaborated with the team on best practices for end-of-life medication management. She also served as a Hospitalist for three years prior to fellowship.
Most recently, Dr. Jackson has been working on an article for the Journal of Pain and Symptom Management for publication in the humanities section.
