Biography

Tara Palmore, MD, is a professor of medicine in the Division of Infectious Diseases at the George Washington University (GW) Medical Faculty Associates and GW School of Medicine and Health Sciences. She serves as the Hospital Epidemiologist for the George Washington University Hospital.

Dr. Palmore completed her medical degree at the University of Virginia School of Medicine. After a three-year medical residency at the New York Presbyterian Hospital – Weil Cornell Medical Center she went on to complete her infectious diseases fellowship at the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Disease (NIAID) at the National Institutes of Health.

Prior to coming to the GW MFA, she was an infectious diseases physician and the hospital epidemiologist at the NIH, where she published extensively on healthcare epidemiology and emerging infectious diseases.
