Biography

Tara Palmore, MD, is a professor of medicine in the Division of Infectious Diseases at the George Washington University (GW) Medical Faculty Associates and GW School of Medicine and Health Sciences.

Dr. Palmore completed her medical degree at the University of Virginia School of Medicine in 1998. After a three-year medical residency at New York Hospital – Cornell Medical Center she went on to complete her clinical infectious diseases fellowship at the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Disease (NIAID) at the National Institutes of Health.

Dr. Palmore is a distinguished physician with an international reputation. Prior to coming to the GW MFA, she was the hospital epidemiologist at the NIH, where she published extensively on healthcare epidemiology. Dr. Palmore is highly regarded by other hospital epidemiologists for her work in this field.
