In this study, we hope to better understand how the bacteria living in your nose (called the nasal microbiome) interacts with the local immune system, and also how those may impact the immune response to live-attenuated influenza vaccine (LAIV) (e.g., nasal spray flu vaccine). You will be asked to self-collect three nasal swabs and provide one blood sample (5-8mL, or ~1 teaspoon) prior to receiving the nasal flu vaccine, self-collect three nasal swabs at 3 visits during the week after vaccination (1 day, 2-4 days, and 5-7 days), and self-collect three nasal swabs and provide one blood sample six weeks after vaccination. Your participation may last up to your six-week follow-up.
