Biography

Aileen Y. Chang, MD, MSPH is an Associate Professor of Medicine. She specializes in comprehensive primary care and clinical translational research.

Dr. Chang earned her bachelor's degree in chemistry from the University of California, Santa Barbara. She received her MD degree from Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons. As a Doris Duke International Fellow she trained in the clinical and public health management of dengue fever in Nicaragua. She completed her internship, residency in internal medicine, and fellowship in general medicine at the University of Miami.

Dr. Chang's research focuses on the study of arboviruses such as dengue, chikungunya and Zika. She works to develop improved diagnostics and therapies for these diseases. Her work includes working with laboratory models of disease and clinical trials. Please see her laboratory website for more information.

Dr. Chang is a member of the American College of Physicians and Physicians for a National Health Care Program.
