Colleen J. Caldwell, MD, MPH, is originally from California and completed her undergraduate studies at the University of California Los Angeles. Dr. Caldwell has always had a strong interest in healthcare disparities and the effects of public policy on patients’ health, to further explore these interests she earned a Master’s of Public Health from the University of Southern California. Dr. Caldwell then completed medical school at the Wright State University Boonshoft School of Medicine in Dayton, OH. She moved to the DC-area in 2017, where she completed both her Internal Medicine Residency and Rheumatology Fellowship at Georgetown University.
Dr. Caldwell’s clinical interests include lupus, rheumatoid arthritis, Sjogren’s Syndrome, and crystalline arthritis. Dr. Caldwell is a strong patient advocate that strives to guide patient care through personalized counseling and education. Her goal as a physician is to provide compassionate medical care aimed at improving quality of life.
Outside of work, Dr. Caldwell loves to travel and spend time with her family. Her hobbies include yoga, hiking, and gardening.
