Biography

Emily Bell, MSN, RN, LNP, PMHNP-BC provides psychiatric services in the GWUH emergency room. Ms. Bell has extensive and broad experience in clinical psychiatric nursing and most recently worked at Malcolm Grow Medical Clinics at Joint Base Andrews in Prince Georges County, Maryland and the C.W. Bill Young VA Medical Center at Bay Pines, Florida. Ms. Bell received her Bachelors of Science in Nursing at the University of Florida graduating summa cum laude. She received her Masters of Science in Nursing, Family-Mental Health Nursing at Yale University, which included preparation for the Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and Child and Adolescent Psychiatric-Mental Health Clinical Nurse Specialist. Ms. Bell is an educator, scholar and tireless and effective advocate for her profession. She has received numerous awards recognizing her clinical skills, her outstanding service, her efforts as a leader and as well as in advocacy and legislation. She covers the ER on weekdays handling first calls for psychiatric consultations.
