Biography

Ilana DeLuca, MD, PhD is a board-certified dermatologist with a Ph.D. in Immunology. Her goal is to empower patients with the knowledge and tools needed to both prevent and treat their skin concerns.

Dr. DeLuca's career began at Yale University, where she received her Bachelor of Science degree in Molecular and Cellular Biology with a focus on Immunology. Her passion for the immune system led her to The Rockefeller University in New York where she chose to study patients with a rare group of autoimmune diseases in an effort to develop better treatment strategies, earning her a Ph.D. in Immunology. After completing her thesis, she went on to receive her M.D. at SUNY Downstate College of Medicine. She graduated at the top of her class and was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha society. She completed her residency in Dermatology at Columbia University, where her training focused on complex medical dermatology. She has published many articles in peer-reviewed scientific and medical journals. She served as Assistant Clinical Professor of Dermatology at Columbia University. She then spent time in Los Angeles working in private practice and on clinical trials before relocating to Washington DC.

Dr. DeLuca was born and raised in New York City. She is a lifelong animal lover who enjoys spending time outdoors. She now resides in DC with her husband and their young son.
