Biography
Shabnam Samankan MD, is an assistant professor of gynecologic, breast and ENT pathology in the Department of Pathology at George Washington University (GW) and the Division Chief of Head & Neck and Endocrine Pathology. Prior to joining GW, Dr. Samankan completed a subspecialty fellowship in Women’s Pathology at the University of Miami, FL. She also completed a subspecialty fellowship in Head and Neck Pathology at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, New York, and an Anatomic/Clinical Pathology Residency at the State University of New York at Buffalo where she received The Adrian O. Vladutin Award for Excellence.
