Tahira Lodhi, MD, is an assistant professor of medicine at the GW School of Medicine & Health Sciences. Dr. Lodhi graduated from medical school in 1999 and completed her Family Medicine Residency at Virginia Commonwealth University. Dr. Lodhi completed her fellowship at George Washington University.
Her interest is Geriatrics practice and teaching. Medical students, residents and fellows join her to learn in traditional and non traditional settings, including hospital, clinic and classrooms but also assisted living, post acute and long term care, Palliative care and hospice facilities.
Her scholarly interests include disease prevention through better primary care and improving care transitions through focus on medication reconciliation and functional assessment. She is interested in system development to simplify care delivery to seniors using community resources and deploying available technology in order to provide patient centered care.
