Biography

Xin Lyu, PhD is a licensed clinical psychologist who received her doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the University of Toledo. She completed an APA-accredited predoctoral internship at the Aurora Mental Health Center and a postdoctoral fellowship in the San Jose Child & Adolescent Psychiatry department at Kaiser Permanente. Dr. Lyu has extensive experience in providing evidence-based treatments for a broad range of psychiatric conditions, specializing in cognitive-behavioral and acceptance-based interventions for depression, anxiety, and post-traumatic stress disorder. She also offers services in bilingual Mandarin and English.  

Dr. Lyu’s research interests broadly focus on the development and manifestation of trauma-related disorders and the study of cultural differences in various aspects. She is also active in the international clinical community and has served on the program committee for the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies (ISTSS). In addition to providing direct clinical care and conducting research, Dr. Lyu is also passionate about teaching and providing supervision and mentorship to trainees at all levels of experience and education.
