Biography

Jessica Proctor MSN, CRNP, RNC-OB, C-EFM, is a board-certified family nurse practitioner who joined the George Washington University Medical Faculty Associates (MFA) Division of Obstetrics and Gynecology in January 2022. She is also certified in Electronic Fetal Monitoring and Inpatient Obstetrics through the National Certification Corporation.

Proctor is a current member of the National Association of Nurse Practitioners in Women's Health, the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, and the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. She completed her Master of Science degree from Walden University in 2019 and is board certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.

She began her nursing career on a progressive care unit but found a love for women's health in labor and delivery. She was a labor and delivery nurse at various hospitals, where she cared for low- and high-risk pregnant and post-partum patients, for a total of seven years. She was also a pain management nurse and nurse practitioner prior to joining the MFA. As a pain management nurse practitioner, she learned different techniques and regimens to care for patients with acute and chronic pain.

Proctor enjoys caring for women across their lifespans and strives to develop excellent patient-provider relationships to promote better health and care in all women. She actively listens to her patients and provides them with evidence-based information to help guide their care.
