The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at The GW Medical Faculty Associates provides comprehensive gynecologic and obstetric care to women of all ages in Washington, DC and the surrounding area. Our department offers a full range of quality care for women of all ages, with an emphasis on preventative health care and education.
Our services range from routine care such as gynecologic exams and routine pregnancy examinations to specialties that include treatment for various adolescent and menopausal conditions. As a part of a multi-specialty practice, our doctors are equipped to work with you in their own discipline and draw from the expertise of other specialties in order to provide a holistic approach to gynecological care.

We are welcoming preconception, pregnant, or post-partum women with specific blood or hematologic conditions that are inherited or acquired to receive specialized care by two of our physicians, Dr. Homa Ahmadzia (Maternal Fetal Medicine) and Dr. Robert Siegel (Hematology). The GW MFA Department of OBGYN is undergoing a transformation, and as always, we remain committed to delivering the best possible care for our patients. With this in mind, our goal is to enhance access and continue to deliver high-quality care for our current patients.
Pregnancy Care - We will continue to provide high-quality, safe, evidence-based pregnancy care at our 2150 Pennsylvania Ave.; 2300 M Street, NW; and Bethesda locations for our established patients who:
Routine/Annual Gynecological Care - At this time, our team will provide a full spectrum of routine/annual gynecologic services for established patients. This team includes our Physician Assistant, Nurse Practitioner, MD, and Certified Nurse Midwife providers.
Gynecologic Problems: Our team of providers is available to provide care for both new and established patients with gynecologic problems (i.e. fibroids, vaginal infections, abnormal bleeding).
New Patients - For patients who have not been seen at our 2150 Pennsylvania Ave, 2300 M Street, or Bethesda locations, we have additional offices located within the DMV that are currently accepting new patients and can address your health care needs. Like so many academic medical centers around the country in the aftermath of the pandemic, we are rebuilding our physician, midwifery, and advanced practitioner teams and are excited for our new colleagues to start at the end of summer.
