Lekhaj Daggubati, MD, is the Director of Surgical neuro-oncology at The GW Medical Faculty Associates. He is also an attending neurosurgeon that has completed two fellowships in Neurosurgical oncology. He specializes in malignant and benign tumors throughout the nervous system, with a focus in minimally invasive cranial approaches, laser interstitial thermal therapy, radiosurgery, and endoscopic neurosurgery. Dr. Daggubati strives for improved patient outcomes by incorporating enhanced recovery protocols and leveraging the latest in perioperative and intraoperative technology.
Lekhaj Daggubati, MD, completed his undergraduate and medical school in an accelerated program at Drexel University College of Medicine. He finished his Neurosurgery residency at Penn State University Hershey Medical Center with an enfolded fellowship during his PGY-7 year in Neurosurgical Oncology. He, then, completed a fellowship in Surgical NeuroOncology fellowship at the University of Miami/ Jackson Memorial Hospital under the tutelage of Drs. Ricardo Komotar and Michael Ivan.
Academically, Dr. Daggubati has published over 30 peer-reviewed publications, 2 book chapters, and over 50 abstracts/talks/presentations. He is an ad-hoc reviewer for World Neurosurgery, Intervential Neuroradiology, and Cureus and has served as a mentor for many medical students and current residents.
Dr. Duggabati also has expertise in Data Science with a Masters in Data Sciences from Northwestern University with a specialization in artificial intelligence. In the age of Big Data and advancing computing capability, he seeks to champion the utilization of machine learning and advanced data science technology to the field of neurosurgery.
