Biography

Shirley Yancey, MPAS, is a board-certified physician assistant working in urology. Shirley, originally from the Chicago suburbs, received her Bachelor's degree from the University of Pittsburgh in bioengineering magna cum laude. She went on to earn her Master's degree in Physician Assistant Studies from a top PA program, the University of Iowa.

Shirley joined the GW Medical Faculty Associates as a General Urology Physician Assistant. She manages a variety of urological conditions, including but not limited to UTIs, urinary incontinence, hematuria, and erectile dysfunction. She also performs a number of in-clinic procedures, including catheter management, self-catheterization and intracavernousal injections training, PTNS and voiding trials. Shirley works in close cooperation with the physicians in the department to provide a wellrounded and comprehensive patient care experience.

Shirley is an active member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and the American Urological Association.
