The GW Medical Faculty Associates Prostate Cancer Clinic is a multi-disciplinary, patient-centered program providing services in:

  • Sexual Health
  • Urology
  • Radiation Oncology
  • Hematology/Oncology
  • Genetic Counseling
  • Nutrition Services

The center’s initial focus is solely on patients with prostate cancer, but the greater vision is to expand to include patients with other urologic cancers. Our multidisciplinary team is composed of nationally recognized surgeons, medical oncologists, radiation oncologists, medical research scientists, and other medical professionals.

Patient Information

Patients should plan to arrive by 8:30 a.m. Please plan to stay on site until 12:00 p.m. in order to receive all coordinated services that morning. Newly diagnosed prostate cancer patients will receive a consultation and evaluation by physicians specializing in urologic, medical, and radiation oncology. We employ state-of-the-art diagnostic tools to guide treatment and ensure that patients receive the most comprehensive information about their disease.

Free Prostate Cancer and Colorectal Cancer Screenings

Men between the ages of 40 and 70, without a history of prostate cancer, can receive a FREE prostate cancer screening, including a digital rectal exam and Prostate-Specific Antigen (PSA) blood test. Free screenings for colorectal cancer using the Hemoccult test are also available at the same time and location.

  • Date and Time: Offered the FOURTH Friday of every month from 1:00 p.m to 5:00 p.m. by appointment.
  • Location: The GW Medical Faculty Associates Building – Department of Urology, 22nd and I Streets, NW, Suite 2-202, Washington, DC 20037. One block from the Foggy Bottom Metro (Blue and Orange Lines)

In order to best serve our patients, we request all diagnostic imaging, pathology reports, slides, and urologic notes be mailed to our staff at least two weeks prior to the scheduled appointment. Those documents should be mailed to:
