How do I get help?
It’s important to talk to your doctor about your sleep. Sleep disorders usually don’t go away over time and they often get worse. Treatment for sleep disorders can dramatically improve your health and quality of life. A sleep study provides your doctors with comprehensive information about your sleep and breathing.
What to expect during a sleep study
Most people are naturally apprehensive about a sleep study, but it is a relatively easy and painless procedure. Home sleep tests are easy to understand and include personalized instructions for applying the monitor. In-lab tests are more comprehensive and include small wires and other sensors that are attached to your head and body as you are monitored in our overnight setting. Our doctors will help you decide which test is best for you. After your test, our doctors review the results and discuss with you a structured treatment plan that is specially tailored to your individual situation. This plan may include medicines, appliances, implants, or counseling.
What about insurance?
Almost all health insurance plans including Medicare cover the diagnosis and treatment of sleep disorders and recognize the benefits of quality sleep to healthy living.
