Biography

Jared Chowdhury, MD is an Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Division of Hospital Medicine at The GW Medical Faculty Associates and GW School of Medicine & Health Sciences.

He obtained his Medical Degree at Aureus University School of Medicine in Aruba prior to completing his Internal Medicine Residency at Drexel University College of Medicine in Philadelphia.After becoming Board Certified in Internal Medicine, he remained at Drexel University as an Assistant Professor of Medicine and a practicing Hospitalist. As a member of the Core Faculty of the Internal Medicine Residency program, he led curriculum development in non-traditional ways of teaching and was awarded a Golden Apple Award for Teaching in 2019. Dr. Chowdhury is licensed in the District of Columbia and the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.

Dr. Chowdhury grew up in North Jersey but always maintained his ties to the DC area. He spent summers wandering around DC neighborhoods, restaurants, festivals, and museums developing a true appreciation for DC culture. He is an avid sports fan, and loves watching football, baseball, and especially basketball.
