Biography

Nuria Zelaya is a certified Physician Assistant in the Department of Neurosurgery for The George Washington University Medical Faculty Associates. She completed her undergraduate education at The George Washington University with a major in Emergency Health Services and a minor in French. She worked at an Internal Medicine practice in Alexandria, VA for 6 years prior to completing her Master's degree in Physician Assistant studies at Drexel University in 2010.

Nuria is board certified by the NCCPA and is licensed to practice medicine in the District of Columbia and Virginia. She has been working as a Physician Assistant in the Department of Neurosurgery since 2011 and has clinical interests in neuro-critical care as well as brain tumors, degenerative spine disease and neuro-trauma. She has a strong focus in patient education. Nuria works closely with the physicians in the department to provide a comprehensive patient care experience.
