Biography

Hemanth Gavani, MD, MPH is a gastroenterologist with The GW Medical Faculty Associates.  Previously, Dr. Gavani was a part of the faculty at the University of Arizona (UA) College of Medicine Tucson as an assistant professor and hospitalist in the Division of Inpatient Medicine where he also completed his Gastroenterology Fellowship. He has served as assistant program director of the UA Gastroenterology Fellowship (2015-16), program director of the Advanced Therapeutic Endoscopy Fellowship (2016-17), and associate medical director of GI endoscopy services at Banner University Medical Center Tucson (2016-18). 

Dr. Gavani's clinical specializations include pancreas disorders, biliary disorders, GI cancers, GERD, and advanced endoscopy.
